October Astrology Forecast 2022
WELCOME TO OCTOBER, BEAUTIFUL SOUL!
OCTOBER IS QUITE THE MONTH! MANY ASTROLOGERS THINK OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER ARE THE BIGGEST OF THE YEAR (A THEME THE PAST FEW YEARS ACTUALLY). THIS YEAR HAS HAD A REALLY POETIC QUALITY TO IT. I CAN’T RECALL A YEAR THAT HAD US REWORKING AND RETHINKING SOO MUCH. OCTOBER REALLY EMBODIES THIS. WE’RE BEING RELEASED FROM SHACKLES THAT HAVE BEEN BOTH SELF AND EXTERNALLY IMPOSED AND FEELING OUR “WINGS” EXPAND IN NEW WAYS. WITH A MIX OF LIBRA AND SCORPIO AND LOTS OF INTERACTIONS WITH VENUS, OCTOBER HAS A PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON HOW WE RELATE TO OTHERS AND WHAT WE CAN DO TO SHOW UP EVEN HEALTHIER IN OUR RELATIONSHIPS. FOR ALL THE AUTUMN/HALLOWEEN FANS THIS WILL ALSO BE AN ESPECIALLY GOOD YEAR FOR THOSE VIBES TOO SO BREAK OUT ALL THE WITCHES BREW TO GET SPOOKY WITH IT.
THIS MONTH ASKS THE QUESTION
“WHAT IS ILLUSION AND/OR SIMPLY ENERGETIC AND WHAT IS TANGIBLE REALITY? HOW DO I HEALTHILY INTERACT WITH BOTH FOR THE HIGHEST GOOD?”

OCTOBER 2ND, 2022 – MERCURY GOES DIRECT
On October 2nd, 2022, Mercury goes direct at 24° Virgo. Mercury direct is opposite Neptune and square Mars. Rejoice! Mercury is out of Rx and in it’s happy place home sign Virgo. The opposition to Neptune is helping us vocalize and put into words and actions any of the illusions that are crumbling around us and squaring Mars in Gemini is actually a pretty complementary moment even though it’s a square since both Gemini and Virgo are ruled by Mercury. This is a moment for seeing anything that needs fixing and not just TALKING about it and laying out the facts but actually doing it (or at least making a plan to).
OCTOBER 3RD-6TH 2022 – SATURN SQUARE URANUS
From October 3rd-6th, 2022, Saturn in Aquarius is Square Uranus in Taurus at 18°. These are in a tight orb all month so really the entire month (and next month) is influenced by this energy but this is when it will be at it’s peak. This has been an ongoing transit for 2021 and 2022 (stronger in 2021) and one that is more felt collectively than personally. When Uranus and Saturn square off it’s always a moment of upheaval that will introduce structuring things differently no matter what sign they are in. But this one is of important note because Aquarius is ruled by both Saturn and Uranus and is interested in progress forward and future-oriented momentum and Taurus governs tradition and the physical world. While this is more of a collective transit, you can also look to where it is happening in your own chart to see what might play out personally as well and where your physical reality is influenced by a tension of restriction in one area of life while there’s a call for dramatic change in another.
OCTOBER 9TH, 2022 – FULL MOON IN ARIES
On October 9th, 2022, we have a Full Moon at 16° Aries. The Full Moon is conjunct Chiron and is opposite Venus. This moon is all about how we balance our relationship with ourself versus our relationship to others. We may see places we personally need deeper healing or evolution to be our best self instead of assuming relationship friction is because of the other person. It’s a great moon for self empowerment in the most profound of ways.
OCTOBER 9TH, 2022 – PLUTO GOES DIRECT
On October 9th, 2022, Pluto goes direct at 26° Capricorn. Pluto is retrograde for about half the year every year and it’s a time to review changes we made or go back over big transformation moments when Pluto was direct. Now that Pluto is direct expect new transformations and epiphanies to occur as we begin to close out the Pluto in Capricorn chapter we’ve been in since 2008 (!!) and move towards Aquarius as our next phase of collective evolution.
OCTOBER 11TH, 2022 – MERCURY ENTERS LIBRA
On October 11th, 2022 Mercury re-enters Libra. Mercury is all about win-wins in Libra. We can communicate with eloquence and diplomacy and our mental processes seem a little more optimistic.
OCTOBER 22ND, 2022 – VENUS CONJUNCT SUN
On October 22nd, 2022 Venus is conjunct Sun at 29° Libra. Venus conjunct Sun days are for illuminating the qualities of the sign Venus is in and celebrating them. With Venus in her home sign of Libra this is an especially great day for beauty, fairness, wealth, love, justice, and equality.
OCTOBER 23RD, 2022 – SUN ENTERS SCORPIO
On October 23rd, 2022 the Sun enters Scorpio. Happy birthday Scorpios!! It’s officially spooky season!
OCTOBER 23RD, 2022 – VENUS ENTERS SCORPIO
On October 23rd, 2022 Venus leaves Libra and enters Scorpio. Here Venus becomes MUCH more serious and deep. While Libra is interested in exploring our relationship to others Scorpio wants to explore the ENERGY between us. It’s sexy, it’s moody, it’s a vibe. I personally love this energy every year. Just don’t go too far off the deep end you forget about balance.
OCTOBER 23RD, 2022 – SATURN GOES DIRECT
On October 23rd, 2022, Saturn goes direct at 18° Aquarius. Sky Daddy Saturn is also on it’s way to completing it’s time in Aquarius! Now we are direct and FO-CUSED. You may be more inclined to put in a little extra work or structure where Aquarius is transiting your chart. There are additional lessons it wants to call to your attention.
OCTOBER 25TH, 2022 – SOLAR ECLIPSE IN SCORPIO
On October 25th, 2022 we have a Solar Eclipse at 2° Scorpio. This is a partial Solar Eclipse and South Node eclipse so it’s concerned with fated new beginnings which naturally also come with endings. The Solar Eclipse is exactly conjunct Venus so the focus is around wealth, love, beauty, and the physical world. But it’s in Scorpio so more so the energy behind these. As always I recommend a lot of good time to just BE with this energy. You don’t have to DO anything for eclipses. Allow it all to flow naturally.
OCTOBER 28TH, 2022 – JUPITER RE-ENTERS PISCES
On October 28th, Jupiter retrograde re-enters Pisces.
Jupiter was in Pisces May-July 2021, and then again from January 2022 until May 2022. Jupiter will be in Pisces until December 21st, 2022. In Pisces Jupiter expands our spiritual and frequency focused world. As it completes it’s time here let it expand you in new directions wherever Pisces is located in your chart.
OCTOBER 29TH, 2022 – MERCURY ENTERS SCORPIO
On October 29th, 2022 Mercury enters Scorpio. Communication with Scorpio is much more intense but not in a bad way. Expect mental processing that is much more focused on energetics and magic and conversations that are deeper than they seem.
OCTOBER 31ST, 2022 – MARS GOES RETROGRADE
On October 31st, 2022 Mars goes retrograde at 25° Gemini. This is one of the biggest astrological moments of the year and why Mars is in Gemini for so long this year. Here we review the actions we took when Mars was direct and might feel a little more tired than usual. So go easy on yourself and others and open to what the retrograde period brings.
A LONG YEAR OF REWORKING AND RETHINKING IS STARTING TO WRAP UP AS WE ENTER THE FINAL QUARTER OF 2022. MUCH OF THIS YEAR COULD’VE FELT LIKE YOU WERE A CATERPILLAR IN YOUR CACOON, AND THIS MONTH IS WHEN WE BECOME BUTTERFLIES BREAKING FREE (CUE HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL “WE’RE SOARING, FLYYYYINNG”). THE THING IS, WE’RE NOT DOING IT ALONE, AS WE’RE COLLECTIVELY EXPERIENCING THIS AND ALSO MEANT TO INTERACT WITH OTHERS AS THERE’S A PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON VENUS AND SHOWING UP EVEN HEALTHIER IN OUR RELATIONSHIPS. WHAT IS FALLING ASIDE TO LET GO OF AND WHAT REMAINS AS YOU STEP FORWARD INTO A MORE GROUNDED, AUTHENTIC, HEALTHIER YOU THIS MONTH?
